About the game

The classic duel on an 8×8 board, right on your phones. Move diagonally, jump over enemy pieces to capture them, reach the far row to get a king. Capture all enemy pieces or leave them without a move to win. Playing alone? Take on the bot. With more players it's a knockout tournament.

How to play

  1. The board

Each side has 12 pieces on the dark squares. Light moves first. A piece moves one square diagonally forward. Tap your piece — the squares it can go to light up — then tap where to go.

  2. Capture

Jump over an enemy piece next to you onto the empty square behind it — the jumped piece is removed. Capturing is a must. If you can jump again, keep going: tap every stop of the chain.

  3. King

Reach the far row and your piece is crowned. A king moves and captures one square diagonally in any direction, forward and back. The host can switch to Russian rules: men capture backwards too, kings fly across the board.

  4. End of the game

Capture all enemy pieces or leave them without a move to win. Each move has a time limit — miss it and a random move is made; three misses in a row lose the game. When the game time runs out, the side with more on the board wins (a piece is 1, a king is 2).

  5. Knockout tournament

Players are paired at random; with an odd number, someone plays a bot, and alone you play the bot. Winners go through until only one is left; the semi-final losers play for 3rd place. Knocked out? Follow the bracket on your phone.
